Girl Time
The buds on the trees are barely popping out and the grass is a mixture of winter-worn brown and fresh green. Not enough color for a fun girl photo shoot, so I brought in a bundle of bright balloons. If baby Olivia were left to hold then, she might have floated away with the small breeze! Her cousin Rachel is such a good cousin to Olivia, who is the only other girl born in their family out of all the cousins and brothers. So, it was such a great joy when the second girl was born! The family just had to get them together for a photo shoot. It was a fun time and all the girls were so lovely! Rachel has a beautiful smile and Olivia was sweet and cheery. Thanks ladies and little babe!

Great Days
Marcus and I joined a group of Gonzaga mothers and went to Spokane's Fire Station 14 the other Monday. The kids were so excited to see the fire truck and some were more interested than others in listening to what a fireman does, since most the kids were around three years old. Their attention span was short but that did not stop their excitement for being in a fire station. Marcus saw the big ladder being lowered, some shovels, wore a fireman helmet, and went inside the truck. He talked about it for the rest of the day, saying he liked the shovels best! It is funny what kids remember and what captures their attention.

Afterward I took him to the park, because the fun never stops with he is with his auntie! There we played monster trucks and ran all around the hills of Manito. Once we were tired and it was way past nap time we headed home. Marcus said while sitting in the car, "We had a really great day, Auntie!"
Those cute little words are worth a million bucks!!

Big snow flakes, Cara, and a yellow umbrella
My great friend, Cara and I planned to have a photo excursion Saturday and the night before I said, "I hope we have nice weather for it tomorrow." What a surprise to wake up to white and snow and lots of it falling. But we ran out into it anyway!
The photo shoot lasted five minutes, then my camera lens was frosted and Cara was freezing.

Beat That!
For the past few years I have taken the Tibbet's family photos and every year would be better and better. Last year was so fun and creative with a snowy mountain shoot that when Stephanie called to schedule the photo session this year we wondered how will we beat last year's; it was just so great.

Well, I believe we did it! It is not like this year's scenery was more spectacular, a truly wonderful photo comes down to the people in the image and their family dynamic. This family is fun and they enjoy each other and that is visible in their photos.
Thanks for the great shoot! Happy New Year!
