Carol & Arnold

Last Sunday I joined a shoot for a magazine article in which Carol was the inspiring model for others to eat healthy, lose weight, and make good life style choices. She used juicing to lose the weight in which all the other weight loss programs failed to give lasting and changing results. She looks so beautiful and happy in all these images, it was a fun day to see her dressed up, done up, and made over!
During the magazine shoot I was able to watch and talk with photographer Dean Davis. He is a commercial photographer who incorporates artificial light with the natural light of an area to create lovely images. I always love learning from sought-after photographers watching them at shoots while working with posing and lighting.
After the main shoot, I took couple portraits of Carol and her husband Arnold. They are a friendly couple who are so joyful and show kindness to all they meet. Thanks for a great session!

Oh What a Beautiful Day!

Steptoe Butte, made of quartzite, rises over 3,500 feet amidst the rolling Palouse hills. A corkscrew road goes all the way to the top, but who takes a car when you can walk and enjoy the scenery, the gusty wind and little varmints scurrying around in the bushes.
The cotton clouds weave around the sun creating lovely shadows and highlights on the green and golden hills. It is an open landscape where I can see hills turn into mountains and mountains fade into blue in the distance.

About Me

Photojournalism portraiture: I photograph people, I am not the greatest at landscape, though I often still try. But people are my specialty. I capture natural expressions and emotions during my photo shoots. I focus on the simplicity of fun and life whether it be for an individual or whole wedding party.
